Responsibilities:
• Greet patients, check them in, and assist with any paperwork or documentation required
• Schedule appointments, follow up on missed appointments, and send appointment reminders to patients
• Answer phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and direct calls to the appropriate staff member
• Perform patient registration and verify insurance information
• Maintain patient records in the EMR system, including updating medical history, medications, allergies, and other relevant information
• Assist with direct billing including verifying insurance coverage and obtaining pre-authorizations as needed
• Prepare and maintain medical charts for patient visits, including ensuring that all required documentation is present and accurate
• Take and record vital signs, prepare patients for examinations, and assist with medical procedures as needed
• Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed Provide administrative support to physicians and other clinical staff as required
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent Certification or diploma in Medical Office Administration or equivalent
• Experience using the Healthquest EMR system is required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work well under pressure • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
