We are looking for really great people to work in a home setting with male adults with cognitive delays.
We want mature, dependable people with patience and understanding and a long term perspective who are willing to be a part of our extended family, who really care about making our home a safe and positive forever home for adults with different behavioral challenges and disabilities.
Job requires;
Strong communication, both spoken and written in the english language.
Participating in daily recreational activities.
Assisting them with day to day life skills, providing assistance, encouragement and supervision.
This also includes the daily maintenance of the home from dishes to mowing the lawn, shoveling snow and various other duties.
Current, valid drivers license required for safety reasons, no exceptions.
You must have standard first aid.
You must have a clean, current RCMP check (to work with the vulnerable sector) or have applied for it and can provide references to your character and dependability.
You must be self motivated, energetic and physically able to keep up with the clients in all their activities as they require line of sight supervision and are very involved and active in different programming.
We need hard working, caring people with integrity who will be invested in relationships with our clients and model integrity for our program.
This position requires all successful applicants to work shift work including holidays, evenings and weekends.
The wage is 24.84 per hour for the right candidate. This would be someone who prioritizes this position over other jobs, who is available for the shifts we need to cover, as well they would need to be available full time for weekends and holidays.
Positions starts October 5, 2023 (training could start sooner) and are permanent full time positions.
