We are currently searching for two experienced Construction Painters.

Work Location:

Various locations in the GTA

Duties:

• Prepare and clean surfaces using methods such as scraping, sanding, Drywall taping/patching, sandblasting, hydro-blasting and steam-cleaning; remove old wallpaper and loose paint; repair cracks and holes in walls; and sandpaper and apply sealer
• Repair cracks and holes
• Mix and thin paint to obtain desired colour and texture
• Apply paint or other materials, such as stains, lacquer, enamel, oil, varnish, fibreglass, metal coating or fire retardant using brushes, rollers or spray equipment
• Measure, cut and apply wallpaper or fabric to walls

Applicants must be able to demonstrate extensive with spray finish and wood finishing specializations with Graining, Marbleizing, Staining and Glazing.

You will be required to train apprentices.

Terms of Employment:

Permanent Position/40 hours per week

Hours of Work:

From Monday to Friday 

The shift is from 7 am to 3 pm

Specialization experience:

• Airless spray equipment
• Brush painting
• Conventional spray painting
• Roller painting

Surface preparation experience:

• Drywall taping/patching
• Steam cleaning

Coating/application specialization Coating:

• Aggregate painting
• Multi-color finishes
• Paint spraying
• Staining

Wall covering specialization:

Wallpaper

Transportation:

• Own transportation
• Valid driver’s licence
• Willing to travel

Weight handling:

Up to 20 kgs (lbs)

Own tools/equipment:

Tools, Steel-toed safety boots

Work Experience:

Over three years of work experience

Salary:

From $ 27.00 to $ 29.00 per hour
