Job Responsibilities:
- Develop visually appealing and creative designs for various mediums, such as digital and print.
- Collaborate with clients or stakeholders to understand their design requirements and preferences.
- Generate design concepts and ideas based on project objectives and target audience.
- Choose appropriate images, fonts, and colors to convey the desired message effectively.
- Utilize graphic design software like Adobe Creative Suite and edit visual content.
- Arrange elements like text and images in an aesthetically pleasing and coherent manner.
- Ensure that design materials align with the organization's branding guidelines and maintain consistency.
- Organize and manage design files and assets efficiently for easy retrieval and future use.
- Incorporate feedback and revisions from clients or team members into design projects.
- Meet project deadlines and manage multiple design tasks simultaneously.
Eligibility Requirements:
- A CEGEP/ college degree in graphic design or a related field, such as visual communication or fine arts.
- Practical experience of 2 to 3 years in a relevant role is crucial.
- Proficiency in graphic design software like Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is required.
- One should have a creative and artistic flair, as their role involves creating visually appealing designs.
- Good communication skills are important to understand clients' needs and convey design ideas effectively.
- One needs to be detail-oriented to ensure accuracy in their work.
- Meeting deadlines is crucial in this profession, so strong time management skills are a plus.
- One often encounters design challenges and should be able to find creative solutions.
- Understanding design principles like color theory, typography, and layout is fundamental.
- The field of graphic design is constantly evolving, so a willingness to learn and adapt to new design trends and technologies is beneficial.
Location: Mississauga, ON L5N 5V3
Salary: $30.50 hourly for 35 hours per week
Overtime: 1.5 times of gross pay after completion of 44 hours
Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period
