Job Responsibilities:
- Liaising with clients and reporting on progress to staff.
- Supervising and recruiting construction workers and hiring subcontractors.
- Buying materials for each phase of the project.
- Monitoring build costs and project progress. Control project costs, track expenses, and adjust as necessary to stay within budget.
- Conducting quality and safety inspections.
- Checking and preparing site reports, designs, blueprints, and drawings.
- Maintaining quality control checks.
- Motivating the workforce.
- Day-to-day problem-solving and dealing with any issues that arise.
- Keep the project on schedule by tracking progress and making adjustments when needed.
- Assess and mitigate potential risks, such as safety hazards or weather-related challenges.
Eligibility requirements:
- A CEGEP/ college diploma or equivalent is the minimum educational requirement.
- 3 to 5 years of construction supervising-related experience is essential for this job.
- Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Capability to identify and resolve issues or obstacles that arise during construction projects.
- Proficiency in project budgeting, cost control, and financial management.
- A strong commitment to safety and knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.
- Effective time management skills to keep construction projects on schedule.
- Responsible for supervising at least 5 to 10 people.
Location: Mississauga, ON L5N 1V9
Salary: 44.25 hourly / 40 hours per Week
Overtime:1.5 times gross pay after completion of 44 hours
Number of vacancies: 1
Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period
