Job Description for the Restaurant Manager:
- Manage day to day restaurant operations to maintain great service, food quality and cleanliness of the restaurant.
- Ensure equipment and facility is in good condition and coordinate for timely repair
- Also address complaints of the customers.
- Recruit, train and supervise staff
- Set schedule of the staff and monitor their performance.
- Attend the meetings and participate in marketing plans and implement it.
- Negotiate with the clients for catering or other use of the facility.
- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations of the restaurant so as to reduce wastage and maximize sales and profit.
- Determine the services to be offered and implement operational procedures.
- Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms.
- Develop, implement and analyze the budget of the restaurant.
- Conduct the performance reviews.
- Make sure provincial regulations are always met.
- Monitor revenues and modify procedures and prices of the dishes.
- Negotiate with the clients for catering or use of facilities.
- Make sure inventory is organized and maintained at all times.
Personal Suitability: Effective interpersonal skills; Flexibility; Team player; excellent oral communication; reliable. Must be able to supervise a minimum of 5 to 10 people.
Working condition: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, physically demanding.
