Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis of individual stocks or sectors within the equity market.
- Prepare financial models and projections to determine equity valuations, research relevant companies independently.
- Analyze vast amounts of financial data, market information, and economic indicators to identify potential investment opportunities and risks.
- Stay updated on relevant news, events, and market trends that could impact investments.
- Determine the intrinsic value of companies or assets using various valuation methodologies.
- Continually review existing investments and generate new investment ideas.
- Prepare and present investment recommendations to portfolio managers, clients, or investment committees based on research findings and analysis.
- Create detailed research reports and investment notes that communicate analysis, recommendations, and key findings to internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum requirement of a bachelor's degree in a field related to business administration, commerce, finance or economics, etc; higher education will be an asset.
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in equity research analyzing or related fields.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong relationship-management skills.
