Job description:
Location: Oakville, ON L6J 7W5
Salary: $ 27.00 hourly / 35 hours per Week
Overtime: 1.5 times of gross pay after completion of 44 hours
Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain financial records and use manual and computerized bookkeeping systems to create, maintain, and balance various accounts.
- Processing of payable and receivable transactions.
- Utilizing accounting software to manage payroll each month.
- Execute payroll tasks accurately and promptly, and submit payroll taxes.
- Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and condensing data.
- To ensure compliance with applicable standards, interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work.
- Calculate depreciation and fixed assets.
- Perform accounting tasks such as billing, deposits, collections, and revenue recognition.
- Accurately, completely, and timely maintain and balance the general ledger.
- On a regular basis, perform a reconciliation of all accounts.
Eligibility Requirements:
- A CEGEP/ college diploma in accounting, finance or related field is typically required.
- Experience bookkeeping for at least two to three years is necessary.
- Knowledge of general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable is required.
- Capable of handling large amounts of complex data.
- To ensure accurate recording of financial transactions, one must have a firm understanding of mathematical concepts.
- Basic understanding of accounting is valuable.
- A strong working knowledge of fundamental and advanced business and finance concepts can be beneficial.
- Knowledge of spreadsheets, including Microsoft Excel.
- Able to work unsupervised or with little guidance
