Legal Secretary

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES ARE LISTED BELOW:
- Prepared legal documents – affidavits, agreements, and notices.
- Ensuring higher attention to detail of grammatical usage to avoid unintended complications.
- Proof-reading legal documents such as correspondence, notices, forms, and power of attorneys.
- Ensures that all required documents & forms are served in an appropriate & timely manner.
- Organize case documents and update them from time to time.
- Keep clients informed by keeping updated with – case progress.
- Authorize to file legal documents manually. Schedule service and fillings with courts, through process server.
- Reviews & monitors all the correspondence to ensure compliance with filing.
- Follow-up & maintain court dates, calendars on behalf of the clients.
- Coordinating scheduling of hearings with opposing counsel and trial coordinator’s office.
- Operates & maintains emails, memos, phone calls, distributes the information among staff accordingly.
- Maintains all records of orders issued by the courts.
Work Location: 7033 Telford Way, Suite 9, Mississauga, ON, L5S 1V4
Salary: $25.50/hr
Hours: 40 hours per week
