Job Duties:
- Collect packages, documents, and other items from a central location or directly from clients, businesses, or individuals.
- Safely load and secure packages or cargo in the delivery vehicle, making sure they are organized and protected during transit.
- Check and confirm the accuracy of delivery addresses and the items to be delivered, ensuring they match the accompanying documentation.
- Operate the delivery vehicle safely and obey traffic laws to prevent accidents and damage to the cargo.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with customers, clients, and dispatchers to provide updates on delivery status and resolve any issues or concerns.
- Keep detailed records of deliveries, including dates, times, signatures, and any special instructions or notes from recipients.
- Conduct regular vehicle maintenance, such as checking tire pressure, oil changes, and basic repairs, to ensure the delivery vehicle remains in good working condition.
- Report any incidents, accidents, or issues to the employer or supervisor.
