Job Responsibilities:
- Accurately process cash transactions, including receiving payments, providing change, and maintaining a balanced cash drawer.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with inquiries, handling returns, and ensuring a positive shopping experience at the store.
- or computerized POS systems to process transactions efficiently.
- Provide customers with receipts for purchases and ensure proper recording of all transactions.
- Reconcile cash registers at the end of shifts to ensure the amount of cash in the drawer matches transactions processed.
- Keep the cashier area clean and organized, creating a welcoming and efficient environment.
- Accept various forms of payment, such as cash, credit cards, and debit cards, ensuring proper authorization.
- Familiarity with products or services offered to assist customers with inquiries and enhance their shopping experience.
- Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell products or services, contributing to increased sales.
Eligibility Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is the minimum educational requirement for the cashier position.
- Previous experience of 1 to 2 years is highly valued for effective working.
- One must possess basic math skills to accurately handle cash transactions and provide correct change.
- Good English communication skills are essential for interacting with customers, addressing inquiries, and providing a positive shopping experience.
- Strong attention to detail to accurately process transactions, enter prices and handle cash.
- One should be friendly, patient, and able to handle customer concerns in a professional manner.
- Being able to spot and correct errors is important for maintaining accuracy

Salary: $18.10 per hour for 35 hours per week
hours per week
Overtime:1.5 times gross pay after completion of 44 hours
Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period
