Bear Country Inn Ltd., also known as Bear Country Inn, is located in the heart of downtown Terrace. We strive to provide a luxurious experience at an affordable price, catering to both business and leisure travelers with newly refurbished rooms. Our hotel boasts 57 rooms with convenient outdoor entrances, ensuring easy access for our guests. Additionally, we offer free parking services, on-site restaurants, cable TV, fast wireless internet, and a meeting room. Currently, we are looking for a qualified Housekeeper to ensure that the rooms are cared for and are inspected thoroughly according to our high standards.

Job Title: Housekeeper

Wage: $18.00 to $21.00 (Depending on Working Experience)

Working Hours: 30 hours per week

Terms of Employment: Full-time, Temporary

Starting Date of Employment: As Soon As Possible

Position Available: 2

Benefit: 4% vacation pay or 10 business days of paid vacation & free meals; Relocation costs will be covered by the employer

Working Location: 4702 Lakelse Ave, Terrace, B.C., V8G 1R6

Job Duties:

• Thoroughly sweep, mop, wax, and burnish all the floors of the hotel.
• Use dusters on various furniture and perform regular vacuuming of the carpets, drapes, and upholstered furniture to ensure there is no dust remaining.
• Organizing the bedding and changing old bed sheets with new cleaner ones.
• Distribute new and clean towels in the washrooms and stock basic necessary toiletries.
• Respond to all patrons’ requests for any necessary auxiliary supplies.
• Fill linen closets or other areas for supply with the appropriate items.
• Ensure that commonplaces such as elevators and changing rooms are regularly sanitized.
• Empty garbage containers when full and cleanse other areas of the room such as the walls or the ceiling.
• Report items left behind by patrons and store them in a safe place until they are retrieved.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to work as a team with other housekeepers.
• Strong detail-oriented and time-management skills.
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Certification for housekeeping room attendants or other similar forms of certification may be required.
