Daycare description / philosophy Busy Bee Montessori Children’s house is fully licensed to care for children under 36 months. Our Centre follow the framework of Montessori philosophy and practice. We recognize small children as feeling and thinking persons in the most dramatic stages of emotional and cognitive development. Staff are experienced and caring and hold Montessori & ECE/ECEA certificate, a current First-Aid Certificate, have the criminal record-check done and be fitted medically to be around children.

Salary: $20-25 an hour, 30-35 hours per week

Tasks:
1. Support early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
2. Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts
3. Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
4. Assist with proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
5. Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors
6. Maintain daycare equipment and assist in housekeeping and cooking duties
7. Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
8. May assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records.
Requirements:
Education: College diploma or above
Experience: Experience in childcare is an asset
Credential: Early childhood educator assistant certificate is required
