Job description:
Location: Barrie, ON L4N 5J4
Salary: $ 28.50 hourly / 30 hours per week
Overtime:1.5 times gross pay after completion of 44 hours
Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period
Job Type: Permanent employment
Job Responsibilities:
- Overseeing day-to-day office operations, including supply management, maintenance, and administrative support.
- Maintaining accurate and organized records, both in physical and digital formats, related to personnel, finances, and other administrative aspects.
- Handling internal and external communication, including emails, phone calls, and correspondence.
- Assisting in budget preparation and monitoring expenditures to ensure compliance with financial policies.
- Implementing and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Scheduling and coordinating meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes during meetings.
- Making travel arrangements for employees, including booking flights, accommodations, and transportation.
- Overseeing facilities, including office space layout, equipment maintenance, and security measures.
- Coordinating and organizing events, conferences, or workshops as required.
Eligibility Requirements:
- A secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent is required.
- Previous experience of 2 years to less than 3 years in administrative roles is essential for this job.
- Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills are crucial.
- Proficiency in office software such as Microsoft Office is crucial.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities are required.
- Familiarity with office procedures and equipment.
- Capability to resolve issues and handle challenges effectively.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing work environments and priorities.
- Efficiently manage time and prioritize tasks.
- Ability to pay attention to details and maintain accuracy.
