Job description:
Location: Concord, ON L4K 4M3
Salary: $47.15 per hour for 35 hours per week
Job Responsibilities:
- Will ensure the integrity of data storage and backup systems and will monitor the security tools.
- Code, test, and debug software applications based on project specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop robust and efficient solutions.
- Participate in the design and architecture of software systems. Implement scalable and maintainable solutions.
- Identify and resolve software defects and performance bottlenecks.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.
- Creates graphical user interfaces (GUIs) or helps with their design when necessary.
- Obtains and evaluates project requirements and flow charts in conjunction with a systems analyst.
- Generates a flow chart that illustrates the data entry process and various issues that can arise in a certain setting. Then, it builds into the software contingencies for these scenarios, such as error messages or other data flows.
- Evaluates, revises, and analyzes programs as necessary to improve operational effectiveness or modify them to meet new needs.
- Creates and keeps track of software development and revision documents.
Number of vacancies: 1
Overtime: 1.5 times of gross pay after completion of 44 hours
Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

Eligibility Requirements:
- A CEGEP/College degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field is typically preferred
- 2 to 3 years’ experience in a computer programming role with strong proficiency in programming languages including C, C++, Java, Python, JavaScript, .NET, MySQL, SQL, Ruby, jQuery, and Ajax is an added advantage
- Very good verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Ability to predict potential user and software issues.
- Ability to create complex code.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
