JOB DESCRIPTION
Location: Mississauga, ON L5N 1V9
Salary: $54.10 per hour for 35 hours per week
Number of vacancies: 1
Overtime: 1.5 times of gross pay after completion of 44 hours
Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period
Job Type: Permanent employment
Job Responsibilities:
- Writing, designing and maintaining new software programs and computer operating systems.
- Evaluating the software and systems that make computers and hardware work.
- Developing existing programs by analyzing and identifying areas for modification
- Writing systems to control the scheduling of jobs or to control the access allowed to users or remote systems
- Leading teams in the development of different aspects of software and computer applications.
- Developing maintenance procedures to encourage and ensure regular optimal productivity of the application
- Maintaining systems by monitoring and correcting software defects.
- Developing software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, and studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes.
- Preparing and installing solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
- Improving operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures.
Eligibility Requirements:
- A CEGEP/ college diploma is the minimal educational requirement.
- Knowledge of professional software engineering full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Demonstrated experience of 2 to 3 years, either through personal projects or previous job experience is required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to design and develop software solutions.
- Excellent technical knowledge
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
