Job Responsibilities
- Communicate with users experiencing difficulties to investigate, document, troubleshoot, and resolve a variety of computer system issues.
- Refer to technical manuals and other resources to find and apply solutions to issues.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and solve technical issues faced by end-users.
- Offer guidance and training to users when they encounter difficulties.
- Provide support for business systems, networks, and internet issues to users as needed.
- Address network issues, such as connectivity issues and security challenges.
- Set up and adjust software and hardware, ensuring systems are configured correctly for user needs.
- Keep records of IT configurations, installations, and maintenance up to date.
- Establish and implement security protocols for IT infrastructure, including setting up firewalls and antivirus programs.
- Perform routine backups to secure data against potential system failures.
- Keep abreast of technological developments and software updates.
- Examine system logs to identify and address potential issues.
- Control and monitor the access rights and permissions of users for security purposes.
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of disaster recovery plans.
Job Requirements
- Education in computer science, computer programming, network administration, or a related field.
- Relevant experience would be an asset.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.
- Knowledge of operating systems and network fundamentals.
- Familiarity with system security measures, including firewalls and antivirus software.
- Experience with system backups and recovery.
- Ability to set up, configure, and manage user accounts and permissions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a logical approach.
- Excellent customer service skills, empathizing and fixing issues efficiently.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload in a fast-paced environment.
