Job Title: Landscape Worker (NOC 85121)

Terms of Employment:  30-40 hours per week, Full-Time/Permanent

Start Date: As soon as possible

Wage: $19.25-$21.00 (Depends on the experience)

No of Positions: 5

Job Duties:

• Spread topsoil, lay sod, apply fertilizers to maintain grass, plants, trees, shrubs etc.
• Cut grass, rake, aerate, dethatch, fertilize, and water lawns.
• Perform other duties to assist with the construction of a landscape, retaining walls and related structures.
• Plant, weed, prune and trim various plants, shrubs, trees, etc.
• Assist in moving and Installing fence panel.
• Assist fence installer and other trade person.
• Maintain site fencing and keep site perimeters clean and safe.

• Operate and maintain power mowers, tractors, chain saws, electric clippers, sod cutters, pruning saws, snowblowers and other landscape maintenance equipment.
• Assist in maintaining commercial site and its equipment.
• Perform other manual duties to clean and maintain landscape environment.

SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

Education: No formal education is required

Experience: No Experience is required.

***Experience working on construction sites, landscaping or grounds maintenance would be considered an asset.

Language: Ability to communicate in English is required.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, Bending, crouching, kneeling, Repetitive tasks, heavy work loads and heavy lifting. Ability to work in various outdoor conditions.
