Job description:

A private household situated in Calgary, Alberta, is looking to hire a Child Caregiver for their one year old child.

Location:  181 Cityscape Way NE, Calgary, AB, T3N 0X1  Canada

Position Title: Home Child Care Provider (NOC 44100)

Wage: $19.00/hour; 40 hours per week

Overtime: $28.50/hour after 40 hours per week

Vacation Pay: Remuneration 4% Gross Pay

Vacancy: 1 position available

Anticipated Date:  As soon as possible

Employment Terms:  Full time and Permanent

Job requirements:

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate, Completion of a training program in child care or a related field, First Aid certificate and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training required.

Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year

Personal Suitability: Initiative, Organized, Judgement, Flexibility, Reliability, Effective interpersonal skills,

Main Duties: Supervise and care for child in employer’s residence, Bathe, dress and feed infant, Prepare formulas and change diapers of infant, Discipline child according to the methods requested by the parents, Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding child and support their social development, Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, Tend to emotional well-being of child, Oversee child’s activities, such as meals and rest periods, as instructed by parents, Provide age appropriate educational training through organized activities such as fames, crafts, reading and outings,  

Specific Skills: Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents, Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties, Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens

Work Setting:  Employer's home, Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment
