Role Description

  • Assess existing and future staffing needs and make recruitments accordingly. 
  • Create and distribute notices and advertisements.
  • Offer guidance to job seekers regarding employment prerequisites and employment terms.
  • Assess the pool of potential candidates and manage the process of gathering and evaluating applicant profiles.
  • Inform candidates about the outcomes of the selection process and generate employment offers as needed.
  • Coordinate and oversee employee management, consultation, and grievance resolution procedures.
  • Assess eligibility for benefits or entitlements and coordinate staff training programs.
  • Deliver information and support services, including employee assistance, counseling, and recognition initiatives.
  • Oversee as well as supervise clerical staff as they handle filing, typing, and recordkeeping tasks.

 Role Eligibility 

  • A CEGEP/ college degree in human resources or a related field is often preferred. 
  • Previous experience of 1 to 2 years in recruitment, talent acquisition, or a similar role is typically required.
  • A strong understanding of recruitment processes, sourcing techniques, candidate screening, and interviewing methods is essential. 
  • Understanding the specific job market and the skills and qualifications required for different positions helps in effectively sourcing and evaluating candidates.
  • Strong organizational skills help in coordinating interviews, scheduling, and managing multiple candidates simultaneously.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, are vital for effective candidate engagement, interviewing, and collaborating with hiring managers and team members. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including relationship-building, networking, and negotiation abilities, are also important.
  • Expertise in various computer and technology skills, including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Word, and various other database software applications.
