Position:                            Construction Labourer

Duration:                          Permanent, Full-Time

Hours:                               32/week Minimum

Salary:                               $23.00/hr

Overtime:                        As per provincial standards - $34.5 after 8hrs/day, 40hrs/week

Language of work:           There is no language ability required to perform as a general construction labourer.

Education:                        No education required
Experience:                      Expeerince will be an asset 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• • Load, unload and transport construction materials
  • Mix, pour and spread materials
  • Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction
  • Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications
  • Pave and rake asphalt
  • Assist in demolishing buildings
  • Perform routine maintenance work
  • Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
  • Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction

 Benefits: As per mutual agreement and BC Employment standards act 4% vacation pay of the gross salary or 10 days of annual paid vacation.
