JOB DESCRIPTION:

Vision Food Innovations is recruiting for the position of FULL TIME Baker (NOC 63202) for its location at 114 Armstrong Avenue, Unit – 4&5, Georgetown, Ontario. We are looking for a committed, caring, and energetic individual who will make Vision Food’s the great place it is to work. JOB DUTIES:

• Measuring and combining ingredients using mixers, blenders, heat sources and other equipment to make muffins, cupcakes etc.
• Operating a variety of kitchen utensils to weigh, measure, mix, wash, grind, stir, strain, season and knead foodstuffs for baking, serving, and storing.
• Assist in the preparation of hot foods and proper storage of foods, utilizing knowledge of temperature requirements and spoilage.
• Cooking prepared batter in ovens, using molds or pans depending on the proper baking technique for the item.
• Put icing on the cupcake base depending on their types.
• Requisition baking supplies.
• Performing routine checks on raw materials to ensure they are of the highest quality.
• Ensure product quality meets company standards.
• Remove any damaged items before they reach the display case.
• Adjusting the amount of ingredients, the oven temperatures, conveyor speeds and humidity as needed so that all products come out as expected.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience: 6-months or more
• Education: High School

COMPENSATION/BENEFITS:

• Wages: $18/hour
• 30-40 hours/week
