Job description:
Child Caregiver to take care of two kids (aged 3 year old and 3 month old) is needed at Mr. Shi’s private household located in Vaughan ON. Please see the following detailed job descriptions:
Work Location: Our private household in Vaughan, ON (Teston Rd./Bathurst St.)
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Full-time permanent
Wage: $20 per hour
Benefits: Paid vacation days and sick leave
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide constant supervision, ensure the safety and well-being of our two children in your care at all times;
- Light housekeeping tasks to create a safe environment, and implement appropriate safety measures;
- Prepare formulas and change diapers for the infant;
- Assist with personal hygiene tasks, including diaper changing, toilet training, dressing, handwashing, bathing for the toddler, and encourage independence where appropriate;
- Follow a structured daily routine that includes activities such as meals, nap times, playtime, and educational or recreational activities as instructed by the parents;
- Offer comfort, emotional support, and positive reinforcement to foster a sense of security and help children develop social and emotional skills, such as sharing, empathy, and conflict resolution;
- Plan and provide nutritious meals and snacks for children and ensure that meals are age-appropriate and meet nutritional guidelines;
- Plan and implement educational and recreational activities such as painting, reading, outing at the parks etc. that promote children's development and learning;
- Discipline children according to appropriate methods instructed by the parents.
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of childcare experience is required;
- Pass medical check and non-smoking;
- Completion of High School or higher education;
- Be able to communicate in English;
- First Aid and CPR certificate is required;
- Experience in taking care of an infant is an asset;
- Flexibility working in the evenings and weekends occasionally is preferred.
