Joy Farm Market is a local store located in the heart of uptown New Westminster. We carry a variety of fresh organic produce, as well as a good selection of essential products, at an affordable price. Joy Farm Market is proudly locally owned, and we are currently looking for a Produce Manager - Retail to join our team, who will be in charge of planning, controlling, and evaluating produce of Joy Farm Market.

Position Title: Produce Manager - Retail

Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent

Estimated Starting Date: As soon as possible

Position Available: 1

Wage: $35.00 to $36.00 per hour (Depending on Working Experience)

Work Hours: 30 hours per week

Benefit: 4 % Vacation Pay or 10 Business Days of Paid Vacation

Job Duties:

• Manage, assess, and direct the operations and sales of Joy Farm Market
• Select, order, receive, evaluate, stock, price, and display of produce based on customer demand and market trends;
• Contact and negotiate with vendors to secure quality produce with reasonable price;
• Analyse revenues and expenditures to determine budgets;
• Develop and make adjustments in marketing strategies;
• Improve customer service and address customer concerns to ensure satisfaction;
• Conduct recruitment, train, assign tasks to staff to support their development and retention;

Qualification:

• Secondary school completion is required;
• Several years of related retail or wholesale sales experience are required;
• A university degree or college diploma in business administration or other field related to the product or service is a good asset;
• Excellent sales and time management skills;
• Required to sit, stand, walk, and handle heavy loads;
