Wage/Salary: 24 CAD Hourly for 35 hours a week
Duration: Permanent/Full Time
Education Requirements- Completion of a college or other program in computer science, network administration, Web technology or a related field
Work experience- 3-4 years of relevant work experience
a) Maintain, troubleshoot and administer the use of local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, computer workstations and peripherals
b) Perform routine network refresh and maintain control records for audits
c) Perform regular data backups and disaster recovery operations for business and clients
d) Manage backups using tapes, disks, or cloud storage such as infrastructure as a service (IAAS) or offsite backup
e) Set up local area networks and connections to the Internet for in house customers
f) Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software and operating system software by making informed choices with management and experts
g) Provide problem-solving services to network users and implement data, software and hardware security procedures
h) Implement network traffic scanners and security monitoring software
i) Operate Network Console to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks and to co-ordinate access and use of computer networks
j) Managing Dashboard daily, weekly and monthly reports on network health and parameters as defined by organizational policy and customer contracts
k) Maintaining a database for common recurring issues for standardizing the processes
