Job Duties:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, or welding process specifications.
- Take measurements and plan welding layout and procedures
- Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using various welding processes to fabricate and assemble multiple trailer configurations.
- Weld metal components together using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to form complete assemblies or sub-assemblies.
- Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
- Operate brazing and soldering equipment.
- Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears and other metal straightening and bending machines.
- Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws
Qualifications:
- Completion of secondary school
- Completion of an apprenticeship program or minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in the trade
- Functional English is required
