In this role, you'll be at the forefront of our operations, ensuring each checkout process is seamless. You'll handle monetary transactions accurately, and diligently maintain inventory control. Job Responsibilities

  • Welcome and engage with customers.
  • Determine and calculate the total price of goods and services using electronic registers, price scanners, or other devices.
  • Measure the weight of produce and bulk food items.
  • Verify customers' age for age-restricted items such as lottery tickets, alcoholic beverages, and tobacco products.
  • Handle payments, including cash, check, credit card, or automatic debit transactions.
  • Issue receipts, refunds, and credits to customers as needed.
  • Package merchandise for customers and provide relevant information and assistance to customers.
  • Promote store loyalty programs or special promotions.
  • Help with promotional tie-ups, such as fuel discount vouchers or coupons for in-store purchases.
  • Restock shelves and maintain checkout area cleanliness as needed.
  • Restock checkout area supplies, such as shopping bags and receipt paper.
  • Monitor and authorize pump fuel activation.
  • Tally daily sales at the end of each shift and ensure they align with recorded sales.
  • Perform other key duties as required and instructed.

 

Job Requirements

  • Secondary school education is preferred, but it is not mandatory.
  • No prior experience is needed. We provide training.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask.
