Employment details:
Position: Meat Cutter
Wage & Hours: $23.00/hr & minimum 30 hr/week
Work Location: 12477 88 Ave Unit 110, Surrey, BC V3W 1P8
Job duties:
- Cutting, deboning, trimming, grinding, weighing and packaging meat and seafood products to specification or customers’ requirements.
- Sharpen and adjust knives and cutting equipment.
- Receive, inspect, and store meat upon delivery.
- Weigh, wrap, and display meat or meat products.
- Store meats in refrigerators or freezers at the required temperature.
- Clean equipment and work areas to maintain health and sanitation standards.
- Keeping an inventory of meat sales and ordering supplies to maintain appropriate stock levels.
Employment requirements:
Completion of secondary school is an asset.
On-the-job training will be provided.
Skills:
- Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Efficient and organized, able to juggle multiple tasks.
- Energetic, high level of initiative.
- Detail-oriented.
