Permanent Position: Long Haul Truck Driver (NOC 73300)

Anticipated Start Date (at the latest in 3 months): As soon as possible.

Location: 3682 Newcastle DR, Abbotsford, BC V2T 5M6

Wage Rate: $27.50 Hourly, for 40-60 hours per week

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, day, morning, evening, overtime if required.

Education: High School.

Experience: No experienced required. on job training will be provided.

Languages: English.

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Driver's Licence (Class 1 or A), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement or an equivalent license in another jurisdiction.

Job Duties:

• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Loading and unloading of goods.
• Plan travel schedules and routes use atlases and other trip planning aids.
• Receive and relay information to central dispatcher.
• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment.
• Perform brake adjustments.
• Perform pre-trip, and route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle.
• Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness.

Other: Operate units; hauling freight throughout Canada/U.S. Candidate must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Security and Safety: Valid passport, Driving record check (abstract), Drug test.
