Currently, the company needs to hire 2 Drywall Installer to join its growing team.

Position: Drywall Installer

Number of positions: 2                                                           

Salary: $27.50 per hour

Terms of employment: Full-Time, Permanent

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Work location(s): Various job sites in Surrey, BC, and other areas of Lower Mainland as per the company’s contracts with its clients.

Job Duties

• Measure cut and fit drywall sheets for installation on walls and ceilings.
• Position and secure drywall sheets to metal or wooden studs.
• Coordinate work procedures for drywall installation and removal.
• Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
• Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound.
• Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in the compound.
• Smooth out the excess compound and allow the coat to dry.
• Install suspended metal ceiling grids and place panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.

Job Requirements  

• Completion of secondary school.
• Completion of 3-4 years Apprenticeship program in the trade or a Minimum of 3 years of work experience in the similar trade.
• Ability to communicate in English.
