Position Description          

Position: Electrician Helper

Type of employment: Full-Time, Permanent

Anticipated Start date: As soon as possible.

Work Location: Various Locations in Lower Mainland, BC.

Salary and Benefits 

Salary: $27.50 per hour

Sun Stone Electric Ltd. incentivizes its current employees with a $1000.00 CAD bonus if their referral leads to a successful hire. For qualified candidates coming from different cities, provinces, or regions, we offer a financial support package for relocation expenses, amounting to up to $1500.00 CAD.

Job Responsibilities  

• Move tools, materials, equipment, and supplies to the work site.
• Help electricians install, repair, and maintain electrical equipment, including lighting fixtures, switches, relays, circuit breakers, and communication systems.
• Cut, strip, and bend wires to the appropriate length, and drill holes to push or pull wiring through openings using hand and power drills.
• Comply with all safety protocols on the job site, ensuring that the workspace is hazard-free.
• Clean up job sites, properly disposing of any hazardous materials in compliance with environmental regulations.
• Assist with testing and inspecting electrical systems to ensure compliance with local and federal electrical codes.
• Assist with troubleshooting of electrical systems, identifying issues and potential solutions.
• Perform other duties on the work site as instructed, showing flexibility and willingness to do so.

  Job Requirements    

• No prior experience is required. Training will be provided on the job.
• Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work with small, precise parts and handle tools with dexterity.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and complete precise tasks.
• Commitment to all safety standards and protocols.
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, to comprehend instructions.
• Be reliable, punctual, and willing to learn new skills.
