Position Description 

Position: Auto Detailing Supervisor

Type of employment: Full-Time & Permanent

Salary and Benefits 

Salary: $29.70 per hour

Overtime and Vacation Pay

Job Responsibilities 

  • Optimize operational efficiency by implementing a streamlined work schedule.
  • Oversee and direct auto detailing operations to meet or exceed customer specifications and quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and cleanliness guidelines, periodically reviewing and updating them.
  • Recruit, onboard, and train auto detailing staff to ensure mastery of job-specific skills.
  • Evaluate the condition of equipment regularly, making recommendations for maintenance or replacement.
  • Manage cleaning supplies procurement and inventory.
  • Provide accurate job estimates to customers, process payments, and manage budgetary constraints while maintaining meticulous financial records.
  • Perform regular audits of detailing work, taking corrective action where necessary.
  • Resolve customer complaints and queries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Encourage teamwork, open communication, and recognition programs to boost morale and productivity.
  • Negotiate prices on cleaning supplies, equipment, and other necessities with suppliers and vendors.
  • Work with marketing and sales teams to offer promotions, seasonal specials, or loyalty programs to increase customer retention.
  • Keep on top of industry trends, techniques, and equipment advancements.
  • Maintain an eco-friendly operation through waste management and recycling initiatives.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports to management, outlining department performance, challenges, and growth opportunities.

 

Job Requirements 

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in similar role.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective communication with staff, customers, and vendors.
  • Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
  • Ability to handle customer complaints diplomatically and professionally.
  • Team-oriented mindset and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as required.
