Position: Baker (63202)- 3 vacancies

Employer: Urban Deli Inc. DBA Rustic Bread Bakery,

Work Location: Rustic Bread Bakery, J-7487 Edmonds Street, Burnaby, British Columbia, V3N 1B3

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time - minimum 40 hours per week with potential for 50 hours weekly 

Salary: $27.50 to 29.50 hourly, depending on experience

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Education: Not required

Credentials (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc.): Not applicable

Experience: Will train

Language: English mandatory, Serbian or Croatian or Bosnian an asset

Type of Establishment/Work Setting Experience: Commercial bakery

Physical Capabilities: Weight Handling up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Work Site Environment: Indoors

Main duties:

• Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies and cakes and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders
• Bake mixed doughs and batters
• Frost and decorate cakes or other baked goods
• Ensure quality of products meets established standards
• Draw up production schedule to determine type and quantity of goods to produce
• Purchase baking supplies
• Oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods
• Hire, train and supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff
