Salary: $32.00 per hour
Anticipated start date: As soon as possible
Work locations: Surrey, BC, and various locations in Lower Mainland (BC) as per the company’s contracts with its clients
Job Responsibilities
- Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of the plumbing system, water supply network, and waste and drainage systems.
- Prepare cost estimations for required plumbing work.
- Install, repair, and maintain domestic or commercial plumbing fixtures and systems.
- Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors.
- Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings with attention to existing infrastructure.
- Measure, cut, bend, and thread pipes using hand and power tools or machines.
- Check pipes for leakages using air and water pressure tools.
- Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, etc.
- Troubleshoot and fix issues related to water supply lines.
- Communicate with co-workers and other tradesmen.
Job Requirements
- Completion of Secondary School
- Completion of an apprenticeship program in the plumbing trade OR minimum 3 years of work experience in the trade.
- Ability to communicate in English.
