Salary: $24.00 hourly
Hours: 40 per week
Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience

Education: completion of secondary school
Terms of employment: full time/permanent
Job Duties:
- Stitching fabric together using sewing machines or hand sewing techniques to create tailored covers for furniture pieces.
- Measuring and cutting fabric according to patterns or dimensions provided, ensuring accuracy and proper fit.
- Install/replace webbing, springs, and other furniture parts using hand and power tools.
- May repair furniture frames and refinish wood surfaces.
- Install padding and underlays and fasten covering materials to furniture frames.
- Collaborating with clients to create custom upholstery designs, selecting fabrics, colors, and styles that meet their preferences and specifications.
- Stretching and securing fabric onto furniture frames, ensuring a smooth and wrinkle-free finish.
- Tack, glue, or sew ornamental decorative elements such as trim, buttons, or tufting to enhance the appearance of upholstered furniture.
- Following safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment, especially when using tools and equipment.
