Measure, stretch, and install fabric or leather according to the customer's preferences and discuss new creative upholstery ideas; Renew, renovate, and repair sofas, cushions, and create upholstery stencils; Install foam padding and batting onto the furniture frame; Replace worn-out webbing, springs, and other furniture components using both manual and power tools; Operate sewing machines or hand-sew upholstered material to stitch cushions and connect sections of coverable materials; Arrange, measure, and cut upholstery materials based on sketches or design specifications; Affix ornaments, trims, braids, or buttons onto upholstered pieces through tacking, gluing, or sewing; Performing quality inspections on fulfilled orders; Choose appropriate materials in accordance with specified items; Strategize the workflow, offer guidance on fabric selection, and estimate costs
