JOB DESCRIPTION 

 

The role is responsible for providing administrative, communications and content development support to JAM CEO, Kristi Herold. Specifically, this role supports JAM at the company level by helping establish Kristi as an authority in workplace culture, the benefits of PLAY and entrepreneurship through speaking engagements, interviews and other owned and earned media content platforms. The goal is to convert that authority and awareness into interest and demand for JAM’s events and sports offerings. 

 

Specific responsibilities include

  • Email: developing a monthly newsletter and establishing a simple welcome sequence for new subscribers 
  • Website updates
  • Social media: content development, calendar and performance analytics 
  • Proposals and pitches: outreach for speaking opportunities, follow-ups with inbound requests and coordination of logistics for confirmed events. 
  • Graphic design: proposals, presentations and other collateral 
  • Coordinate executive communications including internal teams, external partners, customers and vendors 
  • Provide support with research, report preparation and documentation as needed. 
  • Manage CEO inboxes, daily schedule, calendar, appointments and requests 
  • Manage CEO travel bookings and itineraries 
  • Support CEO with a variety of administrative projects and tasks consistent with the role, as required. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • 3-5 years executive administration experience plus 1-2 years marketing experience 
  • Organized, responsive, resourceful and can get shit done 
  • Very strong attention to detail 
  • Experienced with MS office platforms including MS Teams, SharePoint, Planner. 
  • Excellent writing skills, specifically longer form content designed for a business audience 
  • Good graphic design skills with basic tools (Powerpoint, Canva and similar) 
  • Email marketing experience: content development and email platforms (experience with ConvertKit a bonus) 
  • Social media experience – LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube: content, copywriting, calendars, analytics 
  • Website experience: content, copywriting & updates. (WordPress or similar) 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.  
  • Valid G driver's license is mandatory. 

 

EXPECTED HOURS & REMOTE WORK 

  • You will be working 40 hours per week. 
  • The majority of your time you will be working 9:00am-5:00pm EDT Monday-Friday.  
  • We strongly prefer that someone is living in Toronto/GTA area for this specific role, but we will consider remote applicants as well. We also have an office in midtown Toronto where much of our team works 2-3 days a week, so you can work the way that is best for you. 

 

COMPENSATION 

  • $48,000 - $57,000 CAD annual salary 
  • 10 Vacation Days and 10 Personal Days to start 
  • Eligible for full benefits after 3 months 
  • RRSP matching program 
  • Friday afternoon “Go Play Days” during the summer months (opportunity to leave work early for the weekend after our 1pm huddle on Friday)
  • Complimentary league play (we practice what we preach).
