With over 5 years in business, A1 Cheema Electrical Ltd. is providing complete electrical services to custom homes, single family homes, townhouses, and commercial buildings with quality workmanship. Apart from this, we provide complete follow-up and touch ups after the completion of the job. We are currently seeking electricians to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. In this role, you will be tasked with the installation and repair of electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems. You will execute tasks based on technical blueprints. Position Description

Position: Electrician

Type of employment: Full-Time; Permanent

Anticipated Start date: As soon as possible

Work Location: Various Locations in Lower Mainland, Greater Vancouver, Fraser Valley (BC).

Salary and Benefits

Salary: $30.50 per hour

Candidates who qualify will receive relocation assistance up to $1500.00. The company will pay $1000.00 CAD as a referral incentive to any current employee who refers a candidate, and the company hires them.

Job Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications to plan wiring layouts.
• Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, lighting fixtures and other electrical components.
• Pull wire through conduits and holes in walls and floors.
• Test electrical systems for loose connections, broken insulation, and isolate faults, using hand and power tools.
• Splice, join and connect wires to electrical fixtures and components.
• Promote and comply with health, safety, and environmental standards, safe operating procedures, and the observance of protective equipment requirements at all times.
• Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records.
• Perform any other reasonable duty as required.

Job Requirements

• Completion of secondary school
• Relevant education or at least 2-3 years’ experience in the relevant trade
• Trade certification would be an asset but not mandatory.
• Good communication, organizational, interpersonal, and analytical abilities
• Able to work well independently and within a team.
