We are seeking a full-time permanent experienced food service supervisor to join our team. The work location is at 15 High Street, Grand Falls-Windsor, Newfoundland and Labrador.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish methods to meet work schedules
Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food
Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures
Ensure food service and quality control
Prepare food order summaries for chef
Establish work schedules and procedure
Prepare and maintain reports, including inventory, repairs, sales and wastage
Estimate and order ingredients and supplies
Participate in the hiring process and assist in the restaurant’s development
Plan cafeteria menus and related budget plan
Skills & Qualification:
Completion of secondary school is required
1 year of experience of supervising and coaching staff in food preparation or service is required.
Attention to detail, problem-solving, conflict management
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), organizational and interpersonal skills
Team player who works under pressure and fast-paced environment
Basic computer skills
Proficient in English
Fluent in a second language will be an asset
Job Type:
Full time, Permanent
Compensation:
The wage for this position is $17 per hour
Work hours: Monday-Sunday, 40 hours/week
10 days of vacation yearly or 4% of annual remuneration
