Taiwan Restaurant is a distinguished restaurant with commitment to high standards and outstanding service, invites passionate individuals to join our team in delivering an authentic and delightful Chinese culinary experience. We are seeking a full-time permanent experienced bookkeeper to manage daily bookkeeping operations of our growing business. The work location is at 15 High Street, Grand Falls-Windsor, Newfoundland and Labrador.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain financial records and manage various accounts
Post up-to-date journal entries and reconcile accounts
Prepare trial balance, payroll, T4 and financial statements regularly
Calculate and issue cheques for payrolls, taxes, and other expenses
Complete and submit tax remittance forms, workers' compensation forms, pension contribution forms, and other government documents
Generate statistical, financial, and accounting reports as needed.
Skills & Qualification:
Completion of secondary school is required
A college diploma in accounting, bookkeeping or a related field is preferred
At least 1 year’s experience as bookkeeper or similar role
Previous work experience with bookkeeper software is an asset
Quick learner
Excellent organizational skills
Strong MS Office, especially Excel
Detail-oriented, high efficiency, high accuracy
Proficient in English
Fluent in a second language will be an asset
Job Type:
Full time, Permanent
Compensation:
The wage for this position is $28.5 per hour
Work hours: Monday-Friday, 35 hours/week
10 days of vacation yearly or 4% of annual remuneration
