Position Description

Position: Landscape Gardener

Type of employment: Full-Time; Permanent No of positions: 1

Anticipated Start date: As soon as possible

Work Location: Various Locations in Lower Mainland, BC

Salary and Benefits

Salary: $28.50 per hour Overtime and Vacation Pay Stable & full-time employment

Work-life balance through flexible and accommodating work environment Referral Bonus: $1000.00 CAD (for current employees)

Relocation Assistance: $1500.00 CAD (for qualified candidates coming from different cities, provinces, or regions)

Job Responsibilities

• Provide clients with landscaping ideas and options, customizing plans according to their preferences and site details.
• Manage landscaping projects, including terrain preparation, grading, fertilizing, seeding, sodding, and transplanting shrubs and plants.
• Make sure grounds and landscapes at residences and businesses are maintained in a healthy and aesthetic manner.
  • Utilize appropriate gardening tools, seed mixes, and fertilizers, considering soil type and lawn location, when planting and maintaining lawns.
  • Select and plant shrubs, trees, and flowers according to the client's preferences or for the optimal landscape look.
  • Identify and treat plant pests and diseases using eco-friendly methods and products.
  • Assist in designing and installing garden features like paths, patios, water features, and rockeries.
  • Make seasonal adjustments to landscaping practices and implement plant protective measures during adverse weather conditions.
  • Check the condition of landscaping tools and equipment and ensure that they are in good working order.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in landscaping and/or gardening.
  • Education in related field would be an asset.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and excellent work ethic.
  • Ability to effectively motivate, encourage and lead a team to complete projects in a timely, organized, and efficient manner.
