Job Description
• Read and interpret service orders.
• Operate and maintain cutting tools, electrical machinery & welding equipment.
• Use grinders to clean pipe ends to be welded and assist with cleaning welds throughout the welding process.
• Assist the welder in cutting material with powered saws to match the measurement.
• Load and unload the metals to be used.
• Set up tools and assist the welder in preparation of welding equipment.
• Keep welding tools and equipment clean, stocked & organized.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work site to ensure safety.
• Identify safety hazards and risks and ensure that safety procedures are strictly followed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the welder.
Requirements
• No Formal Education is required.
• Experience is an asset; however, on-the-job training will be provided.
