Job Opening for the roles of  Floor sander and finisher

Location: 2080 Steeles Ave E suite 7, Brampton, ON, L6T 5A5, Canada

Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time - 35 to 44 hours per Week

Salary: $24.00 to 27.00 hourly (to be negotiated)

Employment conditions: Day, Evening, Morning, Overtime, Shift, To be determined, Weekend

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Responsibilities

• Use various types of hand and power tools like orbital sanders, belt sanders, and hand sanders, brushes and spray guns to prepare a smooth surface.
• Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt.
• Install and operate sanding machines, edgers, hand and power tools to prepare surfaces for finishing.
• Read blueprints, drawings, sketches and other specifications to understand the surface requirement.
• Apply stains, sealants and finishes according to customers’ desire.
• Conduct thorough inspections of flooring to identify imperfections, repairs and other issues before the finishing process.
• Prepare surfaces for filling gaps, repairing imperfections and sanding to smooth surface.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to create a well organize work environment.
• Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites.
