Job Description:
- Design, alteration, or repair requirements with clients to make sure that their expectations are met.
- Creating custom fit garments.
- Taking clients’ measurements using a measure tape.
- Altering clothes such as shortening sleeves or straps, narrowing lapels to make it more comfortable.
- Sew fabric by cutting or marking cloths and Making dresses for customers based on their design ideas and choices.
- Adjusting clothing as per the client’s request by lining or removing pockets.
- Attaching labels to customers' garments to prevent any damage.
- Repairing garments, which includes patching or sewing holes.
Requirements:
- No formal education required but completion of grade 12 is an asset.
- Combination of post secondary education in the similar field and/or minimum of 6 months to 1-year of experience in the same field is required.
