Job Title: Construction Trade Helper (NOC 75110)
Terms of Employment: 30-40 hours per week, full-time, Permanent
Start Date: As soon as possible
Wage: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour (Depending on Experience)

Job Duties:
- Load and unload construction materials and move materials to work areas.
- Assist tradespersons such as siding installers, carpenters in exterior residential and commercial construction.
- Assist siding installers in preparing and cleaning surfaces for applications of wood, vinyl, or similar materials; assist in installing and repairing siding materials; assist in measuring, cutting, and shaping materials; assist in applying caulking and sealants.
- Cleaning job sites by removing any rubble or garbage at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows, and other equipment; sorting materials and recyclables appropriately; ensuring work tools and equipment are stored away properly.
- Set up work areas for siding installers in advance.
- Maintain tools and equipment and coordinate with supervisor if replacement or service required.
- Operate various hand tools such as siding shears, gauges, trim cutters, removal tools, power nails, drills, etc, as directed.
- Perform other duties assigned by project Managers/Site Superintendents.
- Report all injuries, incidents or unsafe working conditions to their direct supervisor or safety representative as soon as possible.
- Report concerns directly to supervisor immediately.
SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
Education: No Formal Education required.
Experience: No Experience required.
***Experience working on construction sites would be considered an asset.
Language: Basic English is required.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive Tasks, physically demanding requires bending, Crouching, Kneeling, handling heavy loads, requires lifting, Pulling, and carrying of equipment and other objects, Standing for long period of time, Hand-eye co-ordination.
