Job description:
InCAN Developments Inc. is a real estate development company, designing and building high-quality, innovative, and sustainable residential projects that provide residents with comfortable and modern living spaces. Now InCAN Toronto located in Markham Ontario is looking for an Accounting Technician.
Your Responsibilities as an Accounting Technician at InCAN Developments will be the following:
- Perform daily accounting tasks, such as processing invoices, reconciling purchaser deposits, and conducting bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and submit monthly government remittances, including HST returns and payroll remittances.
- Collaborate with vendors and consultants to resolve payment discrepancies and settle outstanding accounts.
- Coordinate accounting activities internally to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Assist in preparing year-end working papers and communicate with external accountants regarding year-end inquiries.
- Handle ad hoc office administrative and managerial responsibilities as needed.
- Support and execute Human Resources tasks when required.
Requirements
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent (completion of secondary school)
- Completion of a college program in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related field; or completion of the first two years of a recognized professional accounting program
Work Experience
Minimum of 1-year work experience as an accounting technician or accounting bookkeeper or previous clerical experience.
Language
Effective English skills both written and verbal.
Job Type: Full-time (35 hours/week), permanent
Salary: $29.76 hourly
