Position: Ethnic Cook (NOC 63200)
Salary: $19 per hour / full-time position (40 hours per week)

Job Duties:
Prepare a full assortment of Indian Snacks, Sweets and traditional Curries in accordance with the religious and devotional food laws and practices of the Swaminarayan denomination of the Hindu faith,
Ensure the food preparation areas follow religious, safety and sanitary food handling practices.
Consult with supervisory staff to plan menus, taking into consideration factors such as costs, special religious event needs, special fasting days and religious festivals.
Fully adhere and comply to Health and Safety Standards and hygiene requirements in the Kitchen facility
Estimate expected food consumption; then requisition or purchase supplies, or support in procurement of the raw materials
Work collaboratively in team environment with local volunteers and staff
Job Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of experience
Knowledgeable and understand the religious and devotional food laws and practices of the Swaminarayan denomination of the Hindu faith
Must be able to work co-genially and respect with other team members and volunteers
Must be able to multi-task and work in a team environment
Must be available to work afternoons, evenings and weekends
