Location: North York, ON, M2N 7E9

Salary: $34.50 hourly / 35 hours per Week

Number of vacancies: 1

Overtime: 1.5 times of gross pay after completion of 44 hours

Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

Job Type: Permanent employment 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Install structures and fixtures such as windows, doors, cabinets, stairs, and molding, ensuring they fit and function correctly.
  • Communicate with clients to understand their requirements, discuss project progress, and ensure satisfaction with the final product.
  • Accurately measure and mark dimensions based on plans to ensure precise cutting and shaping of materials.
  • Understand and adhere to blueprints, sketches, and design plans to comprehend project specifications accurately.
  • Assemble and install structures and fixtures, including cabinets, doors, windows, and molding.
  • Repair and replace damaged or worn parts of structures, ensuring functionality and safety.
  • Maintain and care for tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Utilize various of tools to accurately cut, shape, and trim materials like wood, drywall, or fiberglass.
  • Recognize and address any challenges that may emerge during construction or installation procedures.
  • Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframes, by using carpentry techniques and materials.

 Eligibility Requirements:

  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in carpentry or a related field is preferred.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required for this job. 
  • No specific language requirements for the position
  • Good physical fitness and stamina to handle the demands of the job, including lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment is essential.
  • Capability to identify issues and find effective solutions during construction and installation tasks.
  • Ability to work with precision and accuracy in measuring, cutting, and fitting materials.
  • Dependability and commitment to completing tasks on time and within budget.
