Your responsibilities will include:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of press operators and production staff responsible for setting up and running flexographic printing presses on corrugated cardboard sheets, ensuring efficient and high-quality packaging output.
Review and approve print proofs, die-cut samples, and structural packaging designs to ensure compliance with client specifications and Norlands’ quality standards.
Troubleshoot production issues, provide technical guidance to staff, and implement improvements to optimize printing performance, reduce material waste, and enhance product quality.
Train employees on press setup, safety procedures, and company protocols, and provide input on hiring, evaluations, and promotions in alignment with Norlands’ collaborative and quality-focused culture.
Manage procurement and inventory of production supplies such as corrugated board, water-based inks, flexo plates, anilox rollers, lubricants, and machine parts to support continuous workflow.
Generate and analyze production reports, including daily output volumes, downtime logs, repair needs, and associated labour hours across printing, die-cutting, and finishing stations.
Plan and optimize shift schedules and machine utilization, ensuring timely fulfillment of both standard and rush orders under lean manufacturing principles.
Maintain updated inventory records of printing components (dies, inks, plates, foils, etc.) and coordinate with internal teams to anticipate supply needs and avoid production delays.
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: At least 2 years of relevant experience, Experience in printing or corrugated industries is considered an asset
On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
