Position Overview:
Stoned Inc., Calgary’s premier provider of quartz, granite, and stone surfaces, is seeking an experienced and driven Retail Sales Manager to oversee daily operations and lead our team to success. Job Duties:
1. Direct, control, and evaluate the daily operations of the retail store to ensure smooth, efficient, and profitable performance.
2. Plan, organize, and oversee day-to-day activities, including staff scheduling and inventory management.
3. Manage staff by assigning duties, providing leadership, and fostering a positive, collaborative team environment.
4. Determine staffing requirements, recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers.
5. Conduct performance reviews and ongoing staff development to ensure high levels of performance.
6. Study market research and current trends to determine consumer demand, forecast potential sales volumes, and assess competitor operations.
7. Determine the range of merchandise and services to be sold, ensuring alignment with customer demand and company goals.
8. Implement pricing and credit policies in accordance with market conditions and company standards.
9. Locate, select, and procure merchandise and products for resale, maintaining vendor relationships and managing supply chains.
10. Develop and execute innovative marketing strategies and in-store promotions to increase sales and customer engagement.
11. Plan budgets and monitor store revenues and expenses, ensuring financial goals are met.
12. Analyze sales figures, prepare reports, and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
13. Resolve issues as they arise, including handling customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages promptly and professionally.
14. Optimize store layout, displays, and merchandising to create an appealing shopping experience.
15. Ensure compliance with provincial and federal regulations, including cannabis retail laws where applicable.
16. Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining high product knowledge.
17. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized retail environment in line with health and safety standards.
Qualifications:
1. College diploma in business or related field.
2. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in retail sales management.
